KBR National Park Hyderabad - Holiday Travel Tours


Named after the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Kasu Brahmananda Reddy, this national park is situated in Jubilee Hills. The park, spread over an area of more than 150 hectares, is established to safeguard the biodiversity of the place. Chiran Palace, which belongs to the former Nizam of Hyderabad, is seen here.

The flora of this park typically represents that of southern tropical deciduous forest, and the park has around 600 species of flora. More than a hundred species of birds, besides scores of species of reptiles and butterflies and many species of mammals, although not large mammals, are seen here. It is an urban refuge for rare species of fauna such as Monitor Lizards, Jungle Cats, Wild Boars and varieties of snakes.
